Cherry Berry Crumble

Summertime calls for simple desserts made with just a few ingredients. Combine juicy fresh cherries with other fruits such as blueberries and raspberries for the base of this tasty fruit crumble. Stir together a quick streusel topping and pop the baking dish in the oven. Ingredients

For the base:

  • 2 1/2 cups fresh cherries, stems and pits removed
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour

For the topping:

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 8 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine the cherries, blueberries, raspberries, brown sugar, and flour. Transfer into a baking dish.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, and salt for the topping. Stir in the melted butter until a crumb mixture forms. Evenly spread over top of the fruit.
  • Bake the crumble for 45 minutes until bubbly and golden brown. Serve warm with whipped cream or a scoop of ice cream.
