Care and Handling

Handle with care to avoid bruising.
Display bulk Northwest cherries in the shipping case in order to reduce handling and remove defective fruit immediately.
Keep cherries cool, cherries lose more quality in 1 hour at 68°F than in 24 hours at 32°F.
Keep cherries dry, cherries absorb water and will soften; water spreads decay.
Frequently rotate and restock.
Don't dump sold-down cherries over new boxes.
Don't dump new cherries on top of old cherries.
Eliminate empty boxes and use false-bottom boxes for unsold supplies.
Refrigerate your displays overnight.
