THE ORCHARD IN ACTION

Sweet Cherry trees are unique in that they are one of the most rapidly maturing fruits. The trees bloom with brilliant white blossoms toward the end of March. Then, within 60 days those blossoms have matured into the sweet, healthy fruit for which the Northwest is famous. Growers work to harvest the delicious, healthy fruit from early June until late August, at which point the cherries are delicately packed and shipped throughout the United States and to more than 42 countries across the globe. Once the harvest is complete, the cherry trees have time off through the fall and winter to rest up for another sweet, healthy cherry season the following summer. Check back throughout the year to see, firsthand, how the famous Northwest Cherry trees bring their fruit to the world.
